PM Modi: Taking a unique initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday ‘sentenced’ 8 MPs. ( party )  This punishment was to have lunch with him in the new canteen of Parliament House. These 8 MPs received a call from PM Modi’s office that the Prime Minister wanted to meet them. When he reached the Prime Minister’s Office, he was told that he would be sentenced. After this, PM Modi along with 8 MPs took the lift to the canteen on the first floor. There he had dinner with everyone. This initiative reflects Prime Minister Modi’s desire to build informal relationships with MPs. During this period he also talked to the MPs on various issues.

PM Modi had lunch with these MPs
The 8 MPs who had lunch with PM Modi all belong to different parties. These include BJP MP Jamyang from Ladakh, TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu from Andhra Pradesh, BJP MP L Murugan from Tamil Nadu, Biju Janata Dal MP Samit Patra from Odisha, BSP MP Ritesh Pandey from UP, BJP MP Hina Gavit from Goa, Revolutionary Socialist Party MP N Premachandran and Nagaland BJP MP S. Phangnon Konyak was included.

All arrangements were already in place in the Parliament canteen for the lunch which lasted for about an hour. On reaching there, vegetarian thali was ordered for PM Modi and the eight MPs. During lunch, there was a light-hearted conversation between PM Modi and the MPs. During this, the MPs also asked PM Modi about his experiences in governance.

What was PM’s conversation with MPs?

When an MP asked him the reason for this lunch, the PM said that he is also a common man and he also has feelings like common people. He is not always present as a Prime Minister. Today he felt like discussing and eating with the MPs. So I called and called him. The MPs praised him wholeheartedly for this moment.

The MPs who returned after lunch said that it was a very unique and interesting experience for them. He said that this gave him an opportunity to interact with the Prime Minister in an informal environment. All MPs are strong in their areas
If we talk about the MPs who attended the lunch with the PM, then they have a good political presence in their respective areas. The BJP MP from Ladakh is a vocal voice of the party in Jamyang area and is quite popular. His speech became very popular when Article 370 was removed from Jammu and Kashmir. Current TDP MP from Andhra Pradesh Ram Mohan Naidu represents Srikakulam Lok Sabha seat and his position there is considered very strong.
BJP MP from Tamil Nadu L Murugan is a Rajya Sabha member. He is considered the gentle face of the party in the state and BJP has high expectations from him. Biju Janata Dal MP from Odisha, Samit Patra is the leader in bringing new ideas in the Parliament. Similarly, BSP MP from UP Ritesh Pandey represents Ambedkar Nagar Lok Sabha seat and is very popular in his area.

BJP MP from Goa Hina Gavit, who attended the lunch, is a bright woman leader and has her own support base. Revolutionary Socialist Party MP from Kerala N Premachandran is known for vocally raising issues related to his state. BJP MP from Nagaland S. Phangnon Konyak is a Rajya Sabha member and is a symbol of the party’s identity in the state. She is also the first woman to be elected to the Rajya Sabha from Nagaland.
