Weather Conditions May Deteriorate During the Afternoon  ( Weather) 

New Delhi: Millions of residents across Delhi-NCR are set to receive relief from the scorching heat. , light rain accompanied by strong winds provided some respite to the people of Delhi. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast,  ( Weather)    a Western Disturbance is becoming active. Consequently, the skies are likely to remain overcast for the next few days. Light rain may occur in some areas.

Weather Conditions May Deteriorate During the Afternoon

The Meteorological Department has predicted that on April 30—i.e., Thursday—the entire NCR region, including Delhi and Noida, will remain shrouded in clouds. Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning may occur during the day. Wind speeds could reach 30–40 km/h, with gusts potentially hitting 50 km/h during the afternoon hours. In Delhi, the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to range between 35°C–37°C and 20°C–22°C, respectively. In most locations, the minimum temperature will remain below normal, and in many places, the maximum temperature will also stay below normal levels. This means that the people of Delhi can look forward to some relief from the heat.

Relief from Intense Heat to Continue in Delhi for the Next Two Days

Meanwhile, on May 1—i.e., Friday—the skies will remain partially cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are expected to range between 38°C–40°C and 19°C–21°C, respectively. Winds may blow at a speed of 18 km/h during the day. Similarly, on Saturday, the skies will continue to be partially cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Delhi are expected to range between 39°C–41°C and 20°C–22°C, respectively. In most places, the minimum temperature will hover around normal levels, and in the majority of locations across Delhi, the maximum temperature will also remain close to normal. It is worth noting that for the past few days, temperatures in Delhi-NCR had been hovering between 42°C and 45°C. In the morning hours, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning occurred in Delhi and its surrounding areas. Meanwhile, data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) revealed that Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 260, placing it in the “Poor” category.
