Ayodhya: Ayodhya (Ayodhya ) administration has formed a committee to investigate the gross negligence in the construction of Ram Path, which came into the news due to collapse at about a dozen places in the initial rains. Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal said on Sunday, “A committee of all the concerned departments has been formed, which will investigate and submit its report within 15 days. This committee will investigate the irregularities related to the construction of sewage chambers/manholes in which pits have been formed.”
Ram Path is 14 kilometers long
Dayal said that Ram Path is about 14 kilometers long and it has been constructed with quality as per the standards. He said, “There is an area in this path where sewer line was laid. Similarly, potholes have developed at six or seven places.” He also said that in the last two years, about 5,500 sewer chambers have been built in the entire Ayodhya, out of which only eight or nine places have faced such a problem, that too due to excessive rain.
6 officials suspended so far
The divisional commissioner said that about 30 percent of the entire rainy season’s rain in the district occurred in just two days, due to which this problem has occurred. The state government has also issued a notice to Ahmedabad-based contractor ‘Bhuvan Infracom Private Limited’ in connection with this matter. The government has suspended six officials for gross negligence after road collapse and waterlogging in several parts of the newly constructed Ram Path in Ayodhya.
MP Awadhesh Prasad demanded investigation
Meanwhile, newly elected MP from Faizabad Awadhesh Prasad on Saturday demanded a high-level inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the construction of the 14-km-long Ram Path and sewer line under the road in Ayodhya. MP Awadhesh Prasad had said, “This is a big issue, looting is happening in the name of Ram. How many people are responsible, who is responsible, everything should be clear. Action taken against some people is not enough. There are more people involved in the irregularities in the construction of Ram Path
