US will give Iran a severe thrashing (US ) 

Washington : Six Iranian advisors were killed in an attack on Iraq involving the US and Saudi Arabia; this information was provided by two Iraqi militia officials. Prior to this, Iran had launched a ballistic missile attack on a US military base in Jordan. In response, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran, stating that if it continued to attack US forces in the region, the US was prepared to teach Tehran a harsh lesson. In a phone interview with Fox News, Trump stated that Iran had attacked US assets overnight and that the US   (US )  would respond forcefully. “We will strike them hard; they will face a crushing defeat.”

Donald Trump vowed a strong retaliatory response against Iran, stating that the US would “crush them.” He also remarked that the US would give Iran a severe thrashing. The US President described the missile strikes targeting US troops in Jordan as a surprise attack, noting that the soldiers had very little time to intercept the incoming missiles.

Trump says diplomatic talks will continue

This was Iran’s first direct missile attack on a US military base since US military action against Iran was halted last week in favor of diplomatic talks. Despite the stern warning issued to Iran, Trump stated that the US still seeks a diplomatic solution to the crisis. He mentioned that the US had been having “good talks” with Iran but made it clear that the US would respond firmly to any future attacks.
