Washington: Tensions between the United States and Iran have once again begun to escalate. The US has initiated a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. ( f Hormuz) US President Donald Trump has declared that he will no longer allow anyone’s oil to pass through Hormuz. In response, Iran has threatened to launch major attacks. Iran has stated that it will blow up the ports of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE located in the Persian Gulf. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Iran. Trump stated that if any Iranian vessel approaches the US blockade, it will be immediately destroyed.
What Did Donald Trump Say?
In a post on Truth Social, Trump stated: “Iran’s Navy is at the bottom of the ocean; it has been completely destroyed—158 vessels. We have not targeted some of their vessels—which they refer to as ‘fast attack craft’—because we did not perceive them as a significant threat. Warning: If any of these vessels approach our blockade, they will be immediately destroyed, using the same methods we employ against drug dealers aboard boats at sea. This constitutes a policy of swift and brutal action. Note: 98.2% of the drugs being smuggled into the US via sea or ocean routes have been interdicted! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
Iran Will Not Possess Nuclear Weapons — Trump
Regarding Iran, US President Donald Trump stated: “We cannot allow any nation to blackmail the world—for that is precisely what they are doing; they are, quite literally, blackmailing the world. We will not permit this to happen. At this very moment, numerous vessels are en route to our country to load up on premium oil.” US President Donald Trump further stated: “Iran will not possess nuclear weapons. If they do not agree, there will be no deal—never will there be a deal. Iran will not have nuclear weapons, and we will take the ‘dust’ (uranium) back from them; either we take it back from them, or we will seize it.”
**We Have Imposed a Blockade: Trump**
In response to a question regarding what would happen if no agreement is reached before the ceasefire with Iran expires, US President Donald Trump said: “I do not wish to comment on that, but it would not be good for them. No fighting is taking place right now. At this moment, we have imposed a blockade. They are unable to conduct any trade—Iran is currently unable to trade at all. And we will easily maintain this status quo. Their navy, their air force, their radar systems, and their leadership—they are all finished. This is a very significant development.”
**Tensions Escalate Over Hormuz**
It is worth noting that, on the other hand, Russia has also voiced its opposition to the blockade of Hormuz. The European Union has demanded the immediate restoration of shipping traffic through Hormuz. A positive development for India is that Iran has pledged to provide full security to Indian vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz. Tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz continue to escalate.
**Iran Issues a Threat**
Iran has issued a threat, warning that if Trump creates a “traffic jam” in the waters around Hormuz by establishing a dual blockade, Iran will destroy every single port located in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman. Whether those ports belong to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, or Oman, Iran has vowed to destroy them all, one by one. Iran is unwilling to cede control of the Strait of Hormuz to Trump at any cost—even if doing so triggers a full-scale war.
