There is a possibility of rain in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas. In Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, there may be snowfall along with torrential rains. The Meteorological Department has also said that the minimum temperature will increase in some parts of North-West India. On the other hand, there is less hope for Bihar to get relief from the cold wave.
According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cyclone-like weather conditions on January 11, 2023 due to the activation of Western Disturbance. Due to this, there is a possibility of light to good rains in the western Himalayan region till January 14. Snowfall is also expected in the high mountain areas. Due to Western Disturbance, there are chances of rains in Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas from January 11 to 13. There is a possibility of torrential rain somewhere in Jammu and Kashmir between January 11 and 12, while Himachal Pradesh is also expected to receive rain and snowfall on January 12, 2023.
Minimum temperature likely to rise
Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, there are chances of rain in most parts of North-West India. Due to cloudy weather, there is a possibility of increase in the minimum temperature of these areas. Meteorologists say that the minimum temperature in the north-west parts of the country may increase by 2 to 4 degree Celsius. Due to this, there is little possibility of cold wave in this area for the next 3 days.
