Washington: US President Donald Trump lashed out at Russian President Vladimir Putin for obstructing efforts to finalise a peace deal with Ukraine amid continued military action. In a post on TruthSocial, Trump said, “Vladimir Putin ( Putin) does not realize that if I were not there, very bad things would have already happened in Russia, and I mean very bad things. He is playing with fire!”
Trump threatens Putin
Let us tell you that just a day earlier, Trump had expressed his disappointment towards Putin and said, “He is killing a lot of people for no reason, and I am not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being fired in the cities of Ukraine for no reason. I’ve always said he wants all of Ukraine, not just a piece of Ukraine, and maybe that’s going to be true, but if he does that, it will lead to the collapse of Russia!”
US President Trump, who has previously defended the Kremlin, said he was considering imposing additional sanctions on Russia following its recent attack on Ukraine. “I’m not happy with what Putin is doing. He’s killing a lot of people, and I don’t know what’s wrong with Putin,” Trump said at Morristown Airport, quoted by news agency AFP.
Russia carried out drone attacks on Ukraine
Ukraine’s air force said Russia fired 60 drones over Ukraine from Monday to Tuesday. Russia’s defense ministry said its defense forces shot down 99 Ukrainian drones in seven Russian regions overnight. Between Friday and Sunday, Russia fired nearly 900 drones over Ukraine. On Sunday night, Russia carried out its biggest drone attack of the 3-year-old war, shooting down 355 drones.
