Washington: US President Donald J. Trump has issued a new warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. (Khamenei ) Trump hinted at taking Venezuela-like action in Iran. Through his Truth Social media post, Trump said that a massive armada is heading towards Iran. It is moving rapidly with great power, enthusiasm, and purpose. This fleet is led by the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln, which is larger than the fleet sent to Venezuela.
Prepared for a Venezuela-like mission
In his post, Trump wrote that the massive armada is ready, willing, and able for a mission like the one in Venezuela. It will complete its mission quickly, with speed and aggression, if needed. The US President said that he hopes Iran will quickly “come to the table” and negotiate a fair and balanced agreement that includes no nuclear weapons, which would be good for all parties. Time is running out, this is truly very important! As I told Iran before, make a deal! They didn’t, and then “Operation Midnight Hammer” happened, in which Iran suffered massive destruction.
The next attack will be worse than the last
Trump said that the next attack on Iran will be far worse than this one (the previous one)! Don’t let this happen again. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President Trump has once again created a stir in Iran by issuing such a warning on his Truth Social post. Is the US really preparing to repeat a Venezuela-like mission in Iran? Does the US want to take Khamenei hostage and bring him to Washington, like former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro? Trump’s threat currently points in this direction. Iran’s Nuclear Sites Targeted in June 2025
In June 2025, the US attacked three of Iran’s key nuclear sites (Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan) under “Operation Midnight Hammer,” inflicting heavy damage with B-2 stealth bombers and Tomahawk missiles. Trump stated that the attack occurred because Iran did not agree to a nuclear deal, and that a large naval fleet, led by the USS Abraham Lincoln, had arrived or was arriving in the Middle East. This post comes amidst recent protests in Iran and the subsequent crackdown (with reports of thousands of deaths), and escalating tensions over the nuclear program. Trump demanded a new deal from Iran to abandon nuclear weapons, otherwise threatening that “the next attack will be far more devastating.”
Trump’s Threat Increases Tensions
The US military diverted the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group from the South China Sea to the Middle East, increasing military pressure in the region. Iran responded that this would not affect its resolve to defend itself. Trump’s threat is reigniting the conflict that has been ongoing since the US withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal in 2018, and is increasing the risk of a regional war.
Iran Responds to Trump’s Post
The Iranian Mission to the United Nations issued a strong response to Donald Trump’s threat. The Iranian Mission wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “The last time the US made the mistake of waging war in Afghanistan and Iraq, it wasted over $7 trillion and lost the lives of over 7,000 American citizens. Iran is ready for negotiations based on mutual respect and interests, but if forced, it will defend itself and respond more forcefully than ever before!”
