New Delhi: The outbreak of corona virus has suddenly increased in Delhi and the way the cases of Kovid have jumped, there are signs of a fourth wave. On Sunday, 517 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Delhi and the infection rate was recorded at 4.21 percent. There has been a stir in the capital after more than 500 cases were reported in a day.

According to the data of Delhi Health Department, due to the receipt of 517 new cases in a day in Delhi, the total number of corona virus cases in the capital has increased to 18,68,550, while the death toll is 26,160. It is only a matter of relief that not a single patient has died due to corona virus in the last 24 hours. In Delhi, the cases of Kovid have started increasing again in the last few days.

On Saturday, 461 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in the national capital, while two people died due to infection. While the positivity rate was 5.33 percent on Saturday, it saw a decrease on Sunday and the infection rate was recorded at 4.21 percent. Earlier, 366 cases of corona virus were registered in Delhi and there were zero deaths, while the infection rate was recorded at 3.95 percent during this period. At the same time, 325 cases of corona virus were registered on Thursday.

The Health Bulletin said on Sunday that a total of 12,270 corona tests were conducted in Delhi during the last 24 hours, out of which more than 500 were found positive. However, the number of corona tests on Saturday was 8,646. The bulletin states that a total of 964 corona patients are in home isolation. However, a day earlier this number was 772. It was told that there are 9,735 beds for corona patients in Delhi hospitals and 66 (0.68 percent) of them are admitted. Till now there are 635 containment zones across the city. The number of daily corona cases in Delhi touched a record high of 28,867 during the third wave of the pandemic on January 13 this year.
