The Meteorological Department has said that during the rains, light to moderate rain and snowfall is expected in the lower and middle hilly areas.

Heavy rain likely in northeastern states
According to the report of Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Northeast India and heavy rain in some places. Meghalaya, Tripura and Sikkim may receive very heavy rain at one or two places. Light to moderate rains may occur in some areas of Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu, Northeast Bihar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Rain alert in Delhi-NCR
Dust storm associated with light rain is very likely over Punjab, parts of Haryana, northwest Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. Apart from this, heat wave may prevail in Coastal Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, IMD informed by tweeting on Thursday morning i.e. today that wind will blow at a speed of 50-70 km per hour in the areas of Delhi NCR. Along with this, there will be moderate rain with thunder.

According to the report of Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of good rains between May 22 and May 26                 ( 26 May) ext week. IMD tweeted that light to moderate rain with wind speed of 30-50 kmph very likely at many places in Delhi and NCR (Bahadurgarh, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, Ballabhgarh) and Safidon, Jind, Panipat. Strong winds will blow.
