Condemning the alleged use of force by the police against the protesting farmers, the Congress had said that the government should accept all the demands of the farmers including giving a legal guarantee of Minimum Support Price (MSP). Sukhpal Singh Khaira, head of the party’s wing All India Kisan Congress, also alleged that the central government has broken its promises to the farmers.
Congress said, “Modi government had promised farmer organizations that it will provide legal guarantee to MSP, all three black agricultural laws will be repealed, cases filed against farmers will be withdrawn, compensation will be given to the families of martyred farmers and jobs to children, electricity amendment will be done.
