Christianity: Like me, all of you must have never seen the cremation of a dead body after the death of a person who believes in Christianity. Even in Bollywood films, it has always been shown that whenever a follower of Christianity dies, his dead body is carried in a coffin. Father Varghese Alengadan was the founder of the ‘Universal Solidarity Movement’, an organization working on the spiritual ideology of universal brotherhood and unity in diversity. Father Alengadan was cremated on Tuesday at the electric crematorium of Rambagh Muktidham, Indore. Gayatri Mantra and Mahamrityunjaya were also recited along with Christian prayer before his cremation. Earlier, his body was kept in the Red Church for the last darshan.
