The Pakistan vs. Bangladesh series is in jeopardy. (Pakistan )

Pakistan vs. Bangladesh: The Pakistan cricket team, which has been eliminated from the 2026 T20 World Cup, is scheduled to tour Bangladesh. The two teams will play a three-match ODI series during this tour, scheduled to begin on March 11th. Pakistan     (Pakistan )   was scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on March 9th for this tour, but the series is now in jeopardy. This three-match ODI series may be cancelled.

The series may be cancelled due to geopolitical tensions.

The growing geopolitical tensions amid the Israel-Iran war are casting a shadow over Bangladesh’s upcoming home series. All three matches will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on March 11th, 13th, and 15th. This series will be Bangladesh’s first at home since their home series against the West Indies last October. It will be a good preparation for both teams ahead of next year’s ODI World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

What did the Bangladesh Board official say?
Pakistani media outlet Geo Super reported on March 1st that the tour is in jeopardy due to ongoing regional tensions. PCB officials believe the tour will only take place if the current situation does not increase travel risks or security concerns. However, the BCB stated that they have not received any official information regarding the cancellation of the series. They also stated that Bangladesh has not received any official communication from their Pakistani counterparts.

We have not received any letter from the PCB regarding this – BCB official’s statement
BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Nazmul Abedin said that the board is unaware of any change in the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) plans. Nazmul told reporters that if the situation arises where they cannot travel, there is nothing they can do. But we have not yet received any letter from the PCB regarding this. He also said that they are ready to host the series as scheduled. Bangladesh did not play in the 2026 T20 World Cup due to security concerns, while Pakistan was eliminated in the Super 8 stage.
