In view of air pollution, the UP Pollution Control Board (UPPCB) has given instructions to ensure that the standards are followed to reduce it. Action has also been warned against the people and institutions responsible for not following these standards.
Let us inform that the level of air pollution is increasing continuously in the capital, due to which people are feeling difficulty in breathing. There are many such patients who have asthma, COPD and heart related, respiratory problems, for them air pollution is increasing the problem even more. In view of this, the UP Pollution Control Board has given instructions to ensure that the standards are followed to reduce air pollution. At the same time, Board Member Secretary Ajay Sharma said that 17 cities of the state are Agra, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida, Anpara, Gajraula, Khurja, Bareilly, Moradabad, Jhansi, Firozabad, in terms of air pollution. Rae Bareli and Gorakhpur are very sensitive.
App implemented for the prevention of air pollution
Instructions have been given for sprinkling water along with regular cleaning of roads through mechanical street sweepers in municipal bodies. Anti smog guns are also being used in many cities. For the prevention of air pollution arising out of construction and demolition works, arrangements for safe audit have also been made on the Board’s app for the executing agencies. He informed that regular monitoring of air quality is being done by manual method at 49 air quality monitoring centers in 20 cities and 78 places in 25 cities. At the same time, instructions have also been given to take action against those who do not follow the standards of UPPCB.
