Islamabad Pakistan’s famous hill station.. ‘Mari’ is in discussion these days. Recently there was heavy snowfall on this hill station. A large number of tourists had reached there to enjoy the season. But during this suddenly the weather turned bad. And people did not find a place to hide their heads. And 23 people died of cold sitting in their vehicles. But now it has come to know that these people had sought refuge from the hoteliers there, but the hotel owners there to take advantage of the helplessness of the people.. The rent of one room for one night.. 50 to 70 thousand rupees. . And in the greed of earning money, these people were left out only to die. Some pictures of this accident that have come to the fore will leave you disturbed. In these pictures you will see humanity dead. This will make you understand that no tragedy or disaster is dangerous due to the greed of humans. If greed wants, it can give terrible death to many people.
‘Mari ..’ is a famous hill station situated on the hills of Pir Panjal, 30 km away from Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan. This area is at an altitude of about seven and a half thousand feet above sea level. And in the month of January, there is heavy snowfall every year. And on January 7 the same thing happened here. On this day, it snowed continuously for several hours and snow froze up to four to five feet on the roads. Due to this the roads were closed and more than 50 thousand people were imprisoned in about 25 thousand vehicles, in which women and children were also in large numbers. When these people were in the vehicles, the temperature outside had reached minus 8 degrees Celsius.
People who had money, somehow they left their vehicles on the way and reached the hotels. But for those who thought that they would stay in the car overnight and wait for the snowfall to stop, the situation became dangerous for them. About 23 such people lost their lives by morning. Although we think that these people did not die due to cold and snowfall. Rather, greed has taken the lives of these people.
Seeing the people in compulsion, all the hotel owners present at this hill station increased the rent of one room for one night, from 50 to 70 thousand rupees. Not only this, the people whose vehicles were stuck in the midst of snowfall, asking for five to 10 thousand rupees to remove those vehicles. People had to pay up to Rs 200 to buy a bottle of water. And those who did not have that much money, they got stuck in the middle of this snowfall and they died. Greed is born when humanity dies. That’s why you can say that humanity died that day in Pakistan.
The transmission of greed is not limited to any one country. Whatever has happened in Pakistan today can happen in India and other countries of the world as well. And it has happened many times. You will remember, when the death period was going on in India during the second wave of Kovid last year, then black marketing and hoarding started from vegetables to essential medicines. At that time only a few people living among you were taking advantage of your helplessness. Mahatma Gandhi once said that this world is enough for the need of every human being. But this whole world can never be enough for the greed of one person. And out of the three gates of hell that have been mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita, one of them is greed.
However, now the Pakistan Army has been deployed in ‘Mari’ and about 23 thousand vehicles have been removed from there. According to the government of Pakistan, one thousand vehicles and five thousand people may still be trapped there. However, you should listen to how Pakistan’s Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has made fun of people on this incident. They say that if people want to stay alive then they should stay at home, instead of spending so much, if they want to enjoy the snow, then people buy snow spray at home and spray it on each other, for everything. There is no administration.
