Nationwide strike in the case of rape and murder of trainee doctor

The case can be handed over to CBI

TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said, “…CM Mamata Banerjee is following ‘raj dharma’. Didi is acting like the mother of Bengal. She is also very sad about this incident. Such incidents used to happen during the rule of CPI(M)…Unnao, Hathras, Prayagraj, Gujarat, Bilkis, MP, Manipur all happened one after the other under the rule of BJP. This should not have happened in Bengal, but it did. This is a social crime. The CM had said on the first day that if needed, the case will be handed over to the CBI… The police arrested the accused within 24 hours. He also said that the case will be run in a fast track court and they will try to get him the death penalty… Mamata Banerjee has given the police time till Sunday… If no conclusion is reached, the case will be handed over to the CBI.”
