The batch will go to Kartarpur under the leadership of Channi

Chandigarh. A batch led by Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi will visit Kartar Gurdwara Sahib today. Many of his ministers, MLAs along with some officers will also accompany him. But Punjab Congress state president Navjot Singh Sidhu will not join this batch. He will go to Kartarpur with his batch on 20th November i.e. Saturday. Sidhu had applied on Tuesday to go to Kartarpur. According to the report, around 100 people will go to the historic Kartapur with Channi today. This yatra of Channi is taking place a day before the Gurpurab. The birthday of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism, is celebrated as Gurpurab.

Guru Nanak Dev spent his last time in Kartarpur itself. Now Kartarpur is in Pakistan. There is Gurdwara Darbar Sahib. It is a very sacred site of Sikhism. Kartarpur Corridor has been made to go here only. It was opened yesterday i.e. on Wednesday only. It is a visa free corridor. That is, Indian citizens do not need to take a visa to go here. A 28-member batch had visited here on Wednesday. This included the Panj Pyare. These people had entered Pakistan at 11 am yesterday.
