Sriharikota. Indian Space Research Organization has got great success in the Gaganyaan project. ISRO said that on Wednesday, the Crew Escape System (CES)’s Low Altitude Escape Motor was successfully test-fired from Sriharikota. CES will prove effective in saving the astronauts. It removes the crew module in case of untoward incident.
ISRO said that the Crew Escape System (CES) takes away the crew module of the Gaganyaan mission and rescues the astronauts in case of any untoward incident. India’s first manned space mission “Gaganyaan” will be launched in 2023. ISRO had earlier launched the HS 200 rocket booster at Sriharikota as part of the first stage of Gaganyaan. The HS200 booster, which was 20 meters long with 3.2 meters in diameter, was loaded with 203 tons of solid propellant and was tested for a 135-second duration.
ISRO said that when humans are sent into space, a lot of attention will have to be paid to security. This is a very important mission. When we send humans into space, we have to be very careful. ISRO said that safety tests are being done and we are testing it more often, we would like to do it very carefully. In the middle of next year, various demonstrations and an unmanned mission will be carried out to make sure all is well.
