Terrorists target attack on migrant laborers in Pulwama

Jammu: A migrant laborer was killed, while two others were injured in a grenade attack by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Thursday. According to the police of Kashmir Zone, terrorists hurled grenades at workers who came from outside in Gadoora area of ​​Pulwama and in this terrorist incident, one laborer was killed, while two others were injured. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and launched a search operation. Earlier this year, terrorists had increased attacks on non-local workers, but such target attacks had come down in the last two months.

Bihar laborer killed in attack

The deceased laborer has been identified as Mohammad Mumtaz, a resident of Sakwa Parsa in Bihar. The injured have been identified as Mohammad Arif and Mohammad Majbool, residents of Rampur in Bihar. At present, the condition of both is said to be stable. This terrorist attack has happened just a day before August 5, the anniversary of the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. In 2019, the central government had removed Article 370, ending the special status of the state, due to which there was tension in the valley for a long time.

Security forces have arrested three terrorists from Kupwara in Kashmir on Thursday itself. Incriminating documents and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of the arrested terrorists. Police said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the trio were tasked to carry out attacks in the Handwara area of ​​the district so as to disturb the peace with the loss of life and property of the common people.

When police, army and CRPF personnel stationed at the check post near Phal Mandi in Handwara stopped three people, they tried to run away after seeing the police team but they were caught. The two arrested accused were identified as Manzoor Ahmed and Shaukat Ahmed Bhat. The age of the third accused arrested is being ascertained, so his identity has not been revealed.
