Terrorism on the verge of ending in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Saturday said militancy in the Union Territory is at its lowest level and has been almost eradicated from the Jammu region due to proactive action by security agencies and cooperation of the people. He said that along with the police and other security forces, the conspiracies to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of the union territory are being foiled on a daily basis.

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of an event, Singh said, “If facts and figures are to be considered, terrorism is at its lowest level in the Union Territory. Barring one district of Jammu region, where three-four terrorists are active, the remaining nine districts have become militancy-free.

DGP Dilbag Singh said that the year 2022 proved to be the most successful year for the security agencies in the fight against terrorism and the situation is such that those going on the path of terrorism are thinking 10 times. Dilbag Singh said that we are counseling the youth and explaining them about the conspiracy of Pakistani agencies, which enjoy bloodshed in Jammu and Kashmir.

They have shed blood in Jammu and Kashmir for the last nearly 30 years and the time has come to understand their strategy, repent from their ways, condemn their acts and stand against them. He said that the security forces are getting full support of the people in rooting out terrorism.
