Team India Achieves a Major Record (Record ) 

Raipur: The second match of the 5-match T20 series between India and New Zealand was played at the stadium in Raipur. Team India was given a target of 209 runs, which they achieved in just 15.2 overs with the loss of three wickets, setting a major record. Team India had lost both their opening batsmen for just 6 runs, but thanks to the explosive batting of Ishan Kishan and captain Suryakumar Yadav, Team India won the match quite easily and also broke a major record     (Record )   held by the Pakistani team.

Team India Chases 200+ Target with 28 Balls Remaining
When the Indian team finished the match in 15.2 overs, they became the team with the most balls remaining while chasing a 200+ target in T20 International matches played between full member teams. Previously, this record was held by Pakistan, who chased a target of 205 runs with 24 balls remaining in a T20 match played in Auckland in 2025. Now, Team India has shattered their record and created new history. Ishan Kishan and captain Suryakumar Yadav played a crucial role in securing the victory for Team India in this match, with Ishan scoring 76 runs and Captain Surya playing an unbeaten innings of 82 runs.

The record for chasing a 200+ run target the most times in T20 Internationals belongs to the Australian team, who have achieved this feat 7 times. Team India has now moved to second place in this list, having achieved this feat for the sixth time, while South Africa is now in third place with 5 such instances. Meanwhile, Team India chased down a target of 209 runs in a T20 match for the second time, which is also their joint-highest successful run chase to date.
