Weather: The weather is constantly changing throughout the country. Snowfall continues on the mountains and rain in the plains, but despite this the cold has suddenly started disappearing.  (disappears) The minimum temperature of the national capital Delhi has reached 12.4 degrees. After snowfall, cold is being felt in the mountains, but the temperature is continuously increasing in the plains. People have got relief from the decrease in cold, but it is also a sign of premature heat.

Temperature 3 degrees higher than normal in Delhi

India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the minimum temperature in the national capital on Monday was recorded at 12.4 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees more than this season’s average. Whereas, the maximum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees. According to IMD forecast, on Tuesday also the maximum temperature can be 19 to 20 degrees and the minimum temperature can be 8 to 9 degrees. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be light clouds, but the chances of rain are very less.

After the rains, there has been some relief from air pollution in Delhi, but the AQI is still in the ‘moderate’ and ‘poor’ category at many stations. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the level of PM 2.5 was recorded at 212 i.e. ‘poor’ category at 9 am in Anand Vihar area and the level of PM 10 reached 131. At Indira Gandhi International Airport, PM 2.5 level was recorded at 162 and PM 10 level at 140. An air quality index (AQI) between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’. A score between 51 and 100 is considered ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.

Relief from cold in Bihar too

The temperature has also increased in Bihar and people have got relief from the cold. According to the Meteorological Department, in the next two-three days the temperature may drop by two to four degrees due to westerly wind. On Monday, the minimum temperature in the capital Patna was recorded at 12.8 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was 20.7 degrees. The lowest temperature in the state was recorded in Dehri, which was 10.5 degrees. Dehri also remained the hottest during the day and the maximum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius.

Increase in minimum temperature in UP also

Light rain occurred in many districts of Uttar Pradesh on Monday and due to cloudy sky, an increase in the minimum temperature is being seen. The minimum temperature in the entire state including the capital Lucknow has crossed 11 degrees, while the maximum temperature is being recorded around 18 degrees. According to the weather centre, the effect of western disturbance may last for one to two days and there may be light rain in Lucknow and many other districts on Tuesday also.

Snowfall and rain continue in Himachal

Snowfall and rain continue in Himachal Pradesh, due to which normal life has been affected. Vehicular movement has been stopped on 645 roads including four national highways. State Emergency Operation Center said that 242 roads are closed in Shimla, 157 in Lahaul and Spiti, 93 in Kullu, 61 in Chamba and 51 in Mandi district. The weather office said there was no significant change in the minimum temperature, however, the maximum temperature was recorded below normal after the fall. Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti was the coldest place at night, recording a minimum temperature of minus 6.8 degrees Celsius, while Dehra Gopipur in Kangra was the hottest during the day at 14 degrees Celsius. The local weather office has predicted dry weather in the state for the next six days.

Snowfall continues in Uttarakhand, rain in plains

The weather is continuously changing in Uttarakhand also. Continuous snowfall continued in the mountains on Monday also, due to which the weather remained pleasant even as the cold increased. Tourists are also enjoying the snowfall on the mountains. Along with this, farmers have also got relief due to snowfall after a long time. Their crops have also benefited from the snowfall. On the other hand, a drop in temperature was recorded due to rain in the plains also. Rain continued in Dehradun on Monday as well, due to which the cold increased further. Due to falling temperature, the chill has increased and people are resorting to bonfires to escape the cold.
Temperature may fall by 2-4 degrees in Rajasthan in 2-3 days
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, recorded 22.4 mm rainfall, which is the highest rainfall in a single day in the month of February in the last 10 years. Meteorological Department officials said that in the last 24 hours on Monday, light to moderate rain with thunderstorms was recorded in various parts of the state. Dholpur recorded the highest rainfall of 35 mm, whereas, Bilara and Jodhpur in western Rajasthan recorded 18 mm rainfall. The Meteorological Department warned that there is a possibility of a drop of 2-4 degrees in the minimum temperature in the next two-three days. At the same time, dense fog can be recorded at some places in the northern parts.

Cold wave continues in Kashmir, temperature in Srinagar -0.4 degree

Cold wave continues after snowfall in Kashmir and with the temperature falling below the freezing point at most places on Monday, the effect of cold wave has increased in the valley. According to the weather office, the minimum temperature in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, was recorded at minus 0.4 degrees Celsius. Pahalgam in South Kashmir was the coldest place in the valley last night with minimum temperature below zero.
