Samajwadi Party (SP) on Sunday accused the Lodha group ( Lodha group) of grabbing the land of the most backward Manjhi caste farmers in Ayodhya and said that the people of this group are doing hooliganism with the farmers. However, the group has termed this allegation as false. Meanwhile, the police arrested five farmers who were protesting against the occupation of their land by the Lodha group in Tihura Manjha village of Ayodhya Kotwali police station area. The SP media cell posted on ‘X’, “In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, big industrialists are forcibly occupying the lands of Dalit / backward class farmers under the behest / partnership / protection / direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. After the Ram Mandir verdict, Ayodhya has become a ‘hot spot’ for property and all BJP/Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath/big industrialists want to wash their hands/take a bath/grab land in the flowing Saryu.”
SP took aim
This post said, “In Ayodhya, land grabbing/business/scam is going on with the support/power of power and Yogi is directly involved in all this because he directly monitors all the matters of Ayodhya.” The party also posted two videos and said, “Now listen to the game and the story is in this news and video.” The post said, “Abhinandan Lodha group is grabbing the lands of the people of the Manjhi community of the extremely backward class and its goons are forcibly beating, using force and committing hooliganism with the farmers in Ayodhya. On the instructions/directions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the police administration is sold out and is unethically supporting the Lodha group and has sent the farmers to jail.” In the same post, SP has said, “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, intoxicated with power, is engaged in the business of capturing valuable lands in entire Uttar Pradesh and he is doing all this in the guise of a saint/yogi. This is shameful, horrifying and dangerous.”
Police replied on X
Responding to the post of SP Media Cell, Ayodhya Police replied on ‘X’, “Legal action is being taken by Ayodhya Police Station In-charge by registering an FIR in this regard. The facts mentioned in the post are not true.” SP chief Akhilesh Yadav also posted the alleged video and said, “Detention of farmers in Ayodhya and relief to billionaires… is there a government in Uttar Pradesh or has it retired?” Meanwhile, a spokesperson of Lodha Ventures said, “The plot in question was sold to us by a farmer and when we went to take possession of the plot, a group of goons armed with sticks etc attacked our people and injured them badly.” He said, “Our people have suffered serious head injuries and have been admitted to hospital and their condition is critical. We have lodged an FIR and the police have also made arrests.”
