Sneha had committed suicide  (Sneha )

Delhi: Sneha    (Sneha )   Debnath, a resident of Tripura, who was a student of Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College of Delhi University, had mysteriously disappeared on 7 July. On the day she disappeared, she had told her mother on phone at 5:56 am that she was going to drop her friend at Sarai Rohilla railway station. When she was called, her phone was switched off. When an attempt was made to trace her, the cab driver told that he had dropped her near the Signature Bridge. Now her body has been found floating in the river near the flyover of Geeta Colony in Delhi. Delhi Police has recovered the body of Sneha Debnath.

Suicide note was recovered

Earlier, her family members had found a letter from Sneha’s room, in which Sneha had written that I have decided to end my life and I will commit suicide by jumping from the Signature Bridge. She had further written, ‘I feel like a failure and a burden and living like this has become unbearable for me. There is no conspiracy or compulsion in this and it is my own decision.’

The cab driver had told this

When the search was done after Sneha’s disappearance, the cab driver who had dropped her according to her location was asked, he told that he had dropped Sneha not at Sarai Rohilla railway station, but near the Signature Bridge on the Yamuna river. But after that Sneha could not be traced because not a single CCTV camera of this bridge is working, due to which this entire area has become a ‘blind spot’.

Search was going on

After receiving the news of Sneha’s disappearance, on July 9, Delhi Police and NDRF conducted a thorough search operation in a radius of seven kilometers around the Signature Bridge, but no trace of Sneha could be found. The family said that Sneha did not take any belongings with her, only a mobile phone. It was also found out that she had not made any transaction from her bank account for the last four months.
