Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has targeted the former CM and BJP for advocating talks with Pakistan to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that only PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti can make such remarks because BJP had once supported people like these by forming the government in the valley. Earlier, Mehbooba Mufti had said that there will be no peace in Kashmir until the Indian government talks with Pakistan and the people of the Valley.
In a conversation with reporters, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said that Mehbooba Mufti’s Peoples Democratic Party was once an ally of BJP. PDP has been sympathetic to Pakistan and terrorists since its inception. Let us tell you that in the year 2015 in Jammu and Kashmir, the PDP formed the government in the state in collaboration with the BJP. However, this alliance broke in June 2018.
Sanjay Raut said that Mehbooba Mufti had also supported Afzal Guru, convicted of attacking Parliament House. Now Mehbooba Mufti wants talks with Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue, this is the sin of BJP. The Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government with Mehbooba Mufti, so BJP is responsible for whatever the PDP chief is saying today.
He said that whatever may be the BJP’s view on PDP, Shiv Sena was and will remain opposed to their ideology in the past as well.
Sanjay Raut took a jibe at Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil’s statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi sleeps only two hours and works 22 hours a day. Sanjay Raut said that this is the limit of flattery. PM Modi has also lost his two hours of sleep after listening to Chandrakant Patil.
