Severe Petroleum Shortage in Nepal  ( Nepal) 

Kathmandu: Due to the ongoing conflict involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, Nepal    ( Nepal)    is facing a severe shortage of petrol and diesel. Consequently, citizens are finding it difficult to access these fuels. To find an immediate solution to this crisis, the Cabinet of the Nepal government has announced a two-day weekly holiday, aiming to bring the petrol and diesel shortage under control to a significant extent.

Directives Issued by Nepal’s Prime Minister
Nepal’s Prime Minister, Balendra Shah, convened a meeting to address the petroleum shortages. During the meeting, he announced the implementation of a two-day weekly holiday as a measure to tackle the scarcity of petrol and diesel, thereby aiming to reduce their consumption to some degree. It is worth noting that the conflict involving Israel, the U.S., and Iran has triggered a severe global shortage of petrol and diesel, sending prices skyrocketing. This situation has arisen largely due to Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, as this vital waterway accounts for the supply of 20–25 percent of the world’s gas and petroleum products.
