The Police Commissioner held a meeting with all the religious leaders, social workers and organizations of the district and sought cooperation for the peaceful conduct of the upcoming festival. He urged everyone to talk to the people in their respective areas, and appealed to cooperate with the police and administration. He told that till March 31, there will be a ban on picketing or illegal gathering in the city.
Strict security and surveillance will be maintained
Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh said that CCTV cameras will be installed in all public areas and monitoring will be done through them. Work will also be done to ensure that no rumors spread. He told that the police will also keep an eye on social media.
The Police Commissioner urged the general public to help the police in this matter. He said that those who post objectionable comments, posts or posts hurting religious sentiments in social media will be monitored. Action will be taken against those anti-social elements who are involved in such activities.
