Sawant Government Takes Action After Goa Fire Tragedy   (Sawant )

Goa: The case of the devastating fire at a Goa nightclub, which killed 25 people, has intensified. The Goa government is in action mode, and a major action was taken today against the ‘Birch by Romeo Lane’ club. On the orders of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant     (Sawant )    , a large part of the Romeo Lane club, owned by the Luthra brothers and located on Vagator Beach, was demolished by a bulldozer.

This part of the club was built by encroaching on the beach. Tourism Department officials had sealed the club this morning. A bulldozer arrived there in the evening. Dheeraj, the Deputy Director of the Goa Tourism Department, said that this part of the club was also demolished in July this year, but the club owners encroached on the land again.

Strict Action Against All Romeo Lane Restaurants and Clubs on the Beach
Apart from Vagator, strict action is also being taken against all Romeo Lane restaurants and clubs on other beaches. Besides Vagator, the Caha by Romeo Lane restaurant on Anjuna Beach has also been sealed. Caha Club is a very famous food joint on Anjuna Beach.

In fact, the club that was demolished in Vagator today was also being run in violation of the rules. Like Arpora, there is only one narrow exit route here. The entire restaurant was constructed of wood. Thatch was used. The roof was also made of wood. The roof of the club in Arpora was similar, which is why the fire spread so rapidly.

5 People Arrested So Far
Goa Police have arrested five people in this case so far, but the owners of Birch by Romeo Lane, Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, have fled to Thailand. An Interpol Blue Corner notice has been issued today against the Luthra brothers. North Goa DIG Varsha Sharma said that the police started tracing the location of the club owners within hours of the incident. Their location was traced to Delhi, but before the Goa police could take action, they had fled to Phuket. Varsha Sharma said that no matter where the culprits are hiding in the world, they will be brought to justice as soon as possible.

The club chain spans 22 cities and 4 countries
The Luthra brothers’ clubs are not limited to Goa. Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra’s Romeo Lane club chain extends to 22 cities in India and 4 other countries. The Romeo Lane clubs in Delhi and Goa are operated directly by the Luthra brothers, while in several other cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Noida, Yamuna Nagar, Nagpur, Mohali, Karnal, Mussoorie, Dehradun, Gurugram, and Bhopal, the Luthra brothers have given Romeo Lane franchises to partners.

In addition, there are also Romeo Lane branches in Dubai and Phuket. Saurabh Luthra is the chairman of the company. After leaving his job in 2016, he was the first to start the Romeo Lane club in Delhi. He handles the business dealings of the club, while Gaurav Luthra looks after the management and marketing of the clubs.

Ajay Gupta arrested
The Goa police also arrested a man named Ajay Gupta from Delhi on Tuesday. Ajay Gupta is very close to Saurabh and Gaurav, and important information is expected to be obtained from him in this case.
