New Delhi: Russia has called the news of a billion dollar deal with Pakistan ( Pakistan) a complete rumor. Moscow has denied the Pakistani media reports of a billion dollar agreement between Pakistan and Russia. Russia rejected the reports of Pakistani media and said that Moscow is not planning to increase any new economic relations with Islamabad.
Russia rejected Pakistan’s claim
According to AIR, Russia has recently called the Pakistani media reports fake, which claimed that Moscow is expanding economic relations with Islamabad, which also includes the plan to jointly set up a steel mill in Karachi.
Pakistani media spread lies
This report of a deal between Russia and Pakistan was spread by the Pakistani media after a meeting between Pakistan Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Khan and Russian envoy Denis Nazirov on May 13. In this, there was talk of a deal of billions of dollars between Pakistan and Russia. But now Moscow has strongly rejected the claim of signing any multi-billion dollar deal with Pakistan.
Russia told why Pakistan spread the rumor?
Russia clearly said that this rumor was spread with the intention of spoiling the strong relations between Russia and India. Moscow accused the mischievous elements present in Pakistan of trying to disrupt the strong strategic partnership between India and Russia. This claim was made by the Pakistani media at a time when India recently carried out a major strike targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor and destroyed those bases. A senior Russian official described these reports in Pak media as exaggerated and said that their aim is to sensationalise (Pak-Russia) relations which do not exist on such a large scale.
