Kabul: Pakistan has launched a major attack on Afghanistan. On Monday night, Pakistan Air Force jets struck the central part of Kabul. Following the attack, a rising (Rising ) fireball was visible across a wide area of the Afghan capital. The airstrike in Kabul resulted in a blackout across the entire region.
Hospital Targeted in Attack
Videos emerging from the attack are deeply disturbing. According to media reports, an Afghan Taliban spokesperson stated that a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul was targeted during the Pakistani airstrike, resulting in an unspecified number of deaths and injuries.
Pakistan Also Fired Shells on Sunday
Meanwhile, Mustaghfir Gurbaz, the spokesperson for the Governor of Khost province, reported that shortly after midnight, the Pakistani military fired mortar shells at Nari village in the Gurbaz district, killing a woman and a child. In a separate statement, the Governor’s office also confirmed that two children were killed in mortar shelling in the Dubai area of Khost, Afghanistan.
One Dead in Eastern Province of Nuristan
Additionally, government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat stated on the social media platform X that a civilian was killed on Sunday when a residential home was struck during shelling in the eastern province of Nuristan.
Tensions Between the Two Nations at a Peak
It is worth noting that, according to Afghan officials, at least 18 civilians were killed in cross-border clashes last week. The conflict between Afghanistan and Pakistan remains ongoing, and tensions between the two neighboring nations along the border have reached a critical level.
