Met the Finance Minister too

During this meeting, the two leaders discussed new opportunities that can further strengthen market-based financial relations between the two countries and boost economic growth. The Finance Ministry said in a post on ‘X’, “Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in New Delhi today.” The post said that the two leaders discussed potential new opportunities to strengthen market-based financial relations and accelerate economic growth. “The Finance Minister noted that it is important to use the Commonwealth to bring issues of mutual interest into the G-7 agenda, benefiting the global South,” the ministry said in the post.
