Reports of a plot to assassinate Trump (assassinate)

Washington: US President Donald Trump has made a significant statement., he said that if Iran succeeds in assassinating   (assassinate)  him, he has ordered a level of bombardment against the country the likes of which they have never seen before. He believes Iran has wanted to kill him for years. He stated, “I have been on their list for a long time. This is the situation we are facing. I have given instructions that if anything happens, massive attacks should be launched against them—attacks unlike anything they have ever seen.”

Furthermore, when asked about reports claiming that Israel had shared intelligence regarding a new Iranian plot to assassinate him, Trump dismissed the claims. He said, “No, no. Israel did not have any such information.”

Iran has repeatedly issued threats

It is worth noting that Iran has repeatedly threatened retaliation since the death of General Qasem Soleimani in a US drone strike in January 2020, during Trump’s first term. Trump’s comments come at a time when fears of a full-scale war erupting between the US and Iran have intensified. In recent days, both sides have attacked each other; Tehran has targeted commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, while Washington has launched retaliatory strikes. Iran has also fired drones and missiles at US bases in the Middle East.

Reports of a plot to assassinate Trump
Trump’s remarks follow media reports stating that Israel had shared intelligence with the US regarding a new and specific Iranian plot to assassinate him. US officials had been monitoring potential threats to Trump for some time, but Israel’s latest warning pointed to a new and more specific plot.
