Women’s Premier League: In the 18th match of the Women’s Premier League 2026, Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a spectacular victory and secured their place in the WPL 2026 final. RCB defeated UPW by 8 wickets. ( 8 wickets ) Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first, UP scored 143 runs. In reply, RCB got off to a brilliant start and reached 108 runs in 9 overs without losing any wickets. However, in the very next over, the team suffered its first setback in the form of Grace Harris. Harris played an innings of 75 runs off 37 balls. After this, captain Smriti Mandhana, along with Georgia Wol, achieved the target of 144 runs on the very first ball of the 14th over. With this win, RCB has become the first team to reach the WPL 2026 final.
Batting first, UP had a brilliant start. The team scored 74 runs in 8 overs without losing any wickets. However, in the next over, the UP team suffered its first setback. Captain Meg Lanning returned to the pavilion after scoring 41 runs off 30 balls. Amy Jones also departed after scoring just 1 run. Nadine de Klerk gave RCB their second major breakthrough. In the 12th over, Harleen Deol’s innings ended at just 14 runs. Soon, UP suffered its third setback. Chloe Tryon returned to the pavilion after scoring 6 runs in the 14th over. UP suffered the loss of its 5th wicket in the 17th over. Shweta Sehrawat could only score 7 runs. By the end of the 18th over, Deepti Sharma had scored a half-century, but she was dismissed for 55 runs on the last ball of the 19th over. At the end of 20 overs, the UP team managed to put 143 runs on the scoreboard, losing 8 wickets.
