Ayodhya | The investigation into the alleged embezzlement of donations linked to the Ram Temple has intensified. Expanding the scope of the inquiry, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has begun preparations to have the financial records of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the past five years re-audited. Based on the facts that emerged in the preliminary investigation, a thorough review of the Trust’s financial transactions and donation-related records will be conducted.
Detailed Investigation into Donations and Construction Expenses
According to officials associated with the investigation, during the re-audit, records of the expenses incurred on temple construction, as well as gold, silver, jewelry, and other valuable items received as donations, will also be examined. The objective is to match the financial documents and confirm any possible irregularities.
Interrogation of the Main Accused Continues
Police are continuously questioning the main accused in the case, Avinash Shukla, who was involved in the work related to counting donations. After obtaining police custody from the court, investigative agencies are also examining other aspects of the case and the possible network involved.
Trust Officials Also Questioned
During the investigation, the SIT has also questioned several officials associated with the Trust and people linked to the temple management. Investigative agencies are trying to determine whether any irregularities occurred in donation collection, record management, or financial processes.
Recovery of Cash and Valuables
During the investigation, police recovered a large amount of cash, along with gold, silver, and foreign currency, from the accused. In addition, a donation box has also been seized, and it is being examined whether it has any connection to the case.

Officials say that the investigation is still ongoing, and final conclusions will emerge only after all financial records, documents, and recovered materials have been examined. For now, any possible irregularity will be confirmed only after the investigation is completed.
