Amman: A major incident happened in Jordan on Monday. Ten people were killed while hundreds were injured in the country’s southern port due to a toxic gas leak. According to an information, 234 people have fallen ill due to the gas leak so far. This information was revealed by quoting news agency AP.
This incident of gas leak took place in the city of Aqaba, Jordan. According to a report, there was an incident of gas leak while carrying the gas tank. According to state-run Jordan TV, the Directorate of Public Security said that the leak occurred during the transportation of the gas tank. It is not known what kind of material was kept in the tanker.
The directorate said that the administration has sealed the area after taking the injured to hospitals. Experts have been sent to investigate the leak. According to the state TV channel Al Mamlaka, 199 people are currently being treated in the hospital.
