PM Modi’s visit to Kuwait(PM Modii’)

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned to India after completing his two-day visit to Kuwait. This visit of PM Modi  O(PM Modii’) s considered important in many ways. PM Modi held extensive talks with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Sunday. With this, India and Kuwait have expanded their relations as a strategic partnership. Excellent meeting with the Emir – PM Modi

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Emir of Kuwait have emphasized on promoting relations in the field of information technology, medicine, fintech, infrastructure and security in the talks. PM Modi has tweeted and informed that his talks with the Emir of Kuwait have been very good. PM Modi said- “Had a wonderful meeting with His Excellency the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah.”

Visit of an Indian PM after 43 years
PM Modi is the first Indian PM in 43 years to visit Kuwait. Earlier in the year 1981, the then Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi had visited Kuwait. Regarding his Kuwait visit, PM Modi said- “In accordance with the close relations between our countries, we have raised our partnership to the strategic level and I am optimistic that our friendship will grow even more in the times to come. ”

Trade between India and Kuwait
The Gulf country Kuwait is one of India’s top trading partners and bilateral trade between the two countries stood at US $ 10.47 billion in the financial year 2023-24. Let us tell you that Kuwait is India’s sixth largest crude oil supplier. India’s exports to Kuwait have also reached two billion US dollars for the first time.
