Pakistan martial law can be imposed due to tension

Islamabad. Martial law can now be imposed in Pakistan amid economic crisis. Pakistani political party, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq said that due to tension between Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Due martial law can be imposed. According to the news of The Express Tribune, while addressing the media on Friday, JI Chief Haque said that the current PDM government has become a burden on the country.

Proposing nationwide elections, Haq condemned the Pakistan government’s efforts to suppress the protests, saying that peaceful protest is the constitutional right of every political party. He said, “The government and the Election Commission of Pakistan are running away from the elections, violating the constitution and the orders of the Supreme Court.”

Haque said that the caretaker Punjab government was part of the PDM. From the statements of the caretaker government, it seems that they will be there for a long time. I want to make it clear that this country came into existence through a democratic process and can be sustained only through democratic action. Warning of dire consequences, he announced that the JI chief would take on those who “undermine the Constitution”. Pointing to the duplicity of the ruling coalition, Haque said that the same parties including PPP and PML-N were opposing inflation before coming to power. Let us tell you that the record inflation in the neighboring country has made life miserable for the people.
