‘Operation Sindoor should be investigated like Kargil’: Kharge  (‘: Kharge)

Delhi: Many party leaders including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge      (‘: Kharge)   have demanded an investigation into Operation Sindoor. Along with this, he has accused the Indian government of misleading the country. Referring to the statement given by the Chief of Defense Staff in Singapore, Kharge said that the Indian Air Force has suffered losses in the conflict with Pakistan. In such a situation, Operation Sindoor should be investigated through an independent committee on the lines of the Kargil Committee. Rahul Gandhi has already questioned how many planes India lost in the conflict with Pakistan. The government should give information about this.

Chief of Defense Staff Anil Chauhan had said in Singapore that India learned from its mistakes and the Indian Army was capable of attacking 300 kilometers inside Pakistan’s border.

What did Mallikarjun Kharge write?

On the social media platform X, Kharge wrote that after the interview of the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) in Singapore, some important questions have come up, which need to be asked. Therefore, the government should immediately call a special session of Parliament. He alleged that the Modi government is misleading the country and PM Modi is taking credit for the bravery of the army. Along with this, he also talked about bringing out the truth of Donald Trump’s claims. Kharge wrote that he respects the bravery and valor of the Indian Army, but investigation is necessary in this matter. 140 crore patriots have the right to know the truth.

Kharge’s questions

1. An impartial committee should be formed on the lines of Kargil to investigate Operation Sindoor. This will make it clear how prepared the army was for the operation. How much loss was incurred during this.

2. US President Donald Trump has again reiterated his claim of ceasefire. This is a direct insult to the Shimla Agreement. The investigation committee will also bring its reality in front of everyone.

3. Are India and Pakistan united again now? What are the terms of the ceasefire agreement?

TMC leader also demanded a special session

Trinamool Congress leader Sagarika Ghosh also shared the interview of CDS Anil Chauhan and asked why this thing is being told to the foreign media? Why were the people of the country not told about this earlier. After this, in the second post, he wrote “There are many concerns among the citizens about Operation Sindoor, which should be raised in the national interest. This is how a strong democracy renews itself and learns from experiences. Citizens and the opposition should be taken into confidence. The Narendra Modi government cannot now reject the opposition’s demand. A special session of Parliament should be called in June.

Rahul Gandhi had also demanded a special session

Rahul Gandhi had also demanded a special session in Parliament on the transparency of Operation Sindoor and ceasefire. Along with this, he had asked four questions to the government, which included questions related to the non-capture of the terrorists of the Pahalgam attack and the success of the operation.

Other Congress leaders also asked questions

Other Congress leaders had also raised questions on Operation Sindoor. Alka Lamba had alleged that the Foreign Minister had informed Pakistan before Operation Sindoor. This caused damage to the Indian Army. At the same time, Congress MP Imran Masood had asked for proof of Operation Sindoor and asked how many terrorists were killed. Shashi Tharoor had also questioned the transparency of Operation Sindoor and said that the government should give clear information about the losses and achievements.

Pakistan could not provide evidence of shooting down the planes

Pakistan had claimed to have shot down six Indian planes. However, when asked for evidence, the Pakistani minister had said that the evidence is present on social media. It was also claimed that the Pakistan Air Force had shot down Rafale planes and also destroyed Indian airbases. However, after the conflict ended, PM Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited those airbases which Pakistan had claimed to have destroyed. With this, India proved that Pakistan’s claims are false. Foreign news organizations are still running reports of Indian planes being shot down and Donald Trump’s hand in the India-Pakistan ceasefire. On this basis, the opposition is demanding an investigation. However, the government has already clarified in the beginning that the ceasefire was decided after talks between India and Pakistan at the DGMO level.

What did CDS Anil Chauhan say?

CDS Anil Chauhan On the question of the downing of Indian Air Force planes during Operation Sindoor, he said that for them it was not important how many planes Pakistan shot down, but it was important for them how the planes were shot down. After this, the Indian Army changed its strategy and two days later, attacked Pakistan badly. The Indian Air Force was capable of attacking up to 300 kilometers inside Pakistan.
