Srinagar: Security forces on Monday killed two terrorists in an encounter in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, while a civilian also lost his life. The slain terrorists have not been identified yet.
The encounter started in the Hyderpora area of Srinagar on Monday when security forces launched a search operation. The encounter started after the terrorists opened fire after the classic hospital.
Officials said that two terrorists have been killed in the encounter, while a civilian also lost his life. The civilian killed has been identified as 44-year-old businessman Mohammad Altaf Bhat, who hailed from Old Barjula area and ran a hardware shop near the site of the incident. The identity of the slain terrorists and their organization is being ascertained.
