The IMD has predicted that on December 31, Delhi’s air quality will turn severe and the air quality index will cross 400. Because of which even healthy people may have difficulty in breathing on this day. Along with this, due to severe pollution, there can also be a complaint of burning sensation in the eyes and skin. Not only this, apart from the elderly and children, people suffering from respiratory diseases can face a lot of trouble.

According to IMD, the first day of the year 2023 i.e. January 1 will also be covered in severe pollution. Even on this day the air quality will remain in the severe category. In such a situation, people should avoid going out of the house despite Sunday being a holiday. Meteorological Department scientist VK Soni says that it would be better for people to celebrate New Year’s Eve and the first day of the new year by staying at home so that they avoid direct exposure to pollution.
