T20 World Cup: Three warm-up matches were played on February 3rd in the T20 World Cup 2026. In the very first match of the day, the Sri Lanka A team suffered an upset. Their team lost the match against Oman. In the second match of the day, Zimbabwe defeated the Netherlands. In the third match, Nepal    (Nepal)  defeated UAE in a thrilling encounter. Oman, Zimbabwe, and Nepal have had a good start in this World Cup.

Sri Lanka A team defeated by Oman
The first match of the day was played at the Colombo Cricket Club in Sri Lanka. In this match, the Sri Lanka A team won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 145 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. For Sri Lanka, Dulnith Sigera scored 20 runs and Vanuja Sahan scored 29 runs. In reply, Oman chased down the target, scoring 146 runs in 18 overs and winning by 5 wickets. Amir Kaleem scored 80 runs off 47 balls with 3 sixes and 8 fours, while Vinayak played an unbeaten innings of 39 runs off 24 balls. By defeating Sri Lanka in this match, Oman has surprised the world of cricket.

Zimbabwe defeats Netherlands
Zimbabwe registered a 29-run victory against the Netherlands in a warm-up match of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Ryan Burl scored a blistering half-century for the team in 31 balls. After winning the toss and electing to bat, the Zimbabwe team scored 178 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Ryan Burl scored a half-century for Zimbabwe. He was dismissed after scoring 50 runs off 31 balls. Dion Myers played an innings of 32 runs off 14 balls. In reply, the Netherlands team was bowled out for 149 runs. Captain Scott Edwards contributed 26 runs to the team’s total, while Logan van Beek scored an unbeaten 40 runs, but he couldn’t lead his team to victory.

Nepal defeats UAE
In the third and final match of the day, Nepal registered a 7-wicket victory against the UAE. Batting first, the UAE team scored 145 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Harshit Kaushik contributed 35 runs and Sohaib Khan scored 38 runs for the team. In reply, the Nepal team chased down the target, scoring 148 runs in 17 overs to win the match. Dipendra Singh Airee scored 50 runs off 31 balls, while Arif Sheikh played a blistering innings of 61 runs off 37 balls. Both players remained unbeaten and guided their team to victory.
