New Delhi. India’s star javelin throw athlete Neeraj Chopra (Neeraj Chopra)  has created history in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. Neeraj has targeted gold for the second consecutive time. Neeraj has given India its 17th overall gold medal on Wednesday. The same performance was expected from current Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra in the Asiad and he did not disappoint the countrymen. India has so far won 17 gold medals in this Asian Games.

This is how Neeraj captured the gold
The throw made by Neeraj in the first attempt could not be recorded. But according to the commentator, Neeraj’s first throw which was not recorded was around 87 meters. The Indian star again had to throw the first throw in which he made a throw of 82.38m. Current world champion Neeraj made a throw of 84.49 meters in the second attempt. Neeraj Chopra’s third attempt was fouled. Neeraj made a throw of 88.88 meters in the fourth attempt. In the fourth attempt, Neeraj threw a throw of 80.80 meters. Neeraj fouled in the fifth and last attempt.

Kishore Jena won silver
In this event, Indian teenager Jena made the first throw of 81.26 meters. Jena threw 79.9 meters in the second attempt. Jena threw the javelin 86.77 meters with a personal best in the third attempt. Jena threw the javelin 87.54 meters in the fourth attempt. Jenna fouled in the last attempt.

Neeraj Chopra became world champion in Budapest
This was Neeraj Chopra’s last event of the year. 25-year-old star athlete Neeraj had recently created history by winning the gold medal in the World Athletics Championship held in Budapest. However, last month he could not save the Diamond League title. He was defeated by Jakub Wadlecz of Czech Republic. Neeraj’s personal best is 89.94 meters while the season’s best throw was 88.77 meters.

Commonwealth Games champion Arshad Nadeem already out
Current Commonwealth Games champion Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan had withdrawn from the event a day before. Arshad has a knee injury due to which he could not participate in the Asian Games 2023. The biggest threat to Neeraj was from Arshad Nadeem. Arshad was giving tough competition to the Indian star for some time.
