CM Sukhu expressed grief
CM Sukhu also expressed grief over the death of Kangra resident pilot Namansh Syal at the Dubai Air Show. He wrote on Twitter, “The news of the death of Naman Syal, a brave son of Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, in the Tejas aircraft crash at the Dubai Air Show is extremely sad and heartbreaking. The country has lost a brave, dedicated, and courageous pilot. I express my deepest condolences to the bereaved family. I heartily salute the indomitable courage, dedication, and devotion to national service of the brave son Naman Syal.”

How did the accident happen?
Sources in the Indian Air Force said, “It is quite possible that the pilot took a positive-high g turn, came out of it and rolled into a wing over to gain some altitude. He then rolled into a negative g pushover and in the meantime something went wrong with the aircraft. The pilot tried to come out of it by leveling the wings and pulling away from the crowd. Then the aircraft hit the ground in a flat attitude. All this is just speculation. The reality is that the pilot sacrificed his life to save the people below. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered. The cause of the accident will be known only after analysis of the flight data recorder.”
