Raipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Nagarnar Steel Plant of NMDC Steel Limited in Jagdalpur city of Chhattisgarh( Chhattisgarh)on Tuesday and will address the ‘Parivartan Mahasankalp Rally’ of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This will be Prime Minister Modi’s fourth visit to the Congress ruled state in the last two and a half months. Assembly elections are to be held in the state later this year.
The state’s ruling party Congress has called for Bastar bandh on Tuesday, accusing the central government of planning to privatize the Nagarnar Steel Plant. Officials said that the Prime Minister’s program will be held at Lalbagh Maidan in Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar district, at 11 am.
Press Information Bureau (PIB) officials said on Monday that Prime Minister Modi will visit Chhattisgarh and Telangana on Tuesday, October 3. Officials said that the Prime Minister will reach Jagdalpur at 11 am on Tuesday and will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several development projects worth more than Rs 26 thousand crore in Chhattisgarh. These projects also include the steel plant of NMDC Steel Limited located at Nagarnar.
He said that in line with the initiative to give impetus to the vision of self-reliant India, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the steel plant of NMDC Steel Limited located at Nagarnar in Bastar district. This plant has been completed at a cost of more than Rs 23,800 crore. This is a greenfield project plant, where high quality steel will be manufactured.
He told, “During the program, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the new rail line between Antagarh and Tadoki and the double rail line project between Jagdalpur and Dantewada. He will lay the foundation stone for the project of two-way construction of Boridand – Surajpur railway line and redevelopment of Jagdalpur station under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Prime Minister will also flag off the Tadoki-Raipur DEMU rail service.”
He said that the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the road upgradation project on ‘Kunkuri to Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border section’ of National Highway-43. This new road will improve road connectivity and benefit the area residents. Bharatiya Janata Party officials in the state said that the Prime Minister will address BJP’s ‘Parivartan Mahasankalp Rally’ from a separate platform at the same place.
The Prime Minister had also addressed the ‘Parivartan Mahasankalp Rally’ in Bilaspur on 30 September. This rally was organized during the conclusion of two Parivartan Yatras of BJP in the state. Senior police officials of the state said that multi-layered security arrangements have been made for the Prime Minister’s program. Apart from state police personnel, Special Protection Group (SPG) troops are also included in the security.
