Modi and Trump to Meet   ( Meet) 

G-7 Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump are set to meet   ( Meet)  during the upcoming G-7 summit. The White House confirmed this on Saturday. According to the White House, the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Donald Trump will take place in France on June 17, where the G-7 summit is scheduled for next week. This will be the first meeting between the two leaders since their last encounter in Washington in February of last year. PM Modi will also participate in the G-7 summit, where he will meet with the French President and various other global leaders to discuss a range of issues.

PM Modi on a Visit to Slovakia and France
PM Modi is currently on a week-long visit to France and Slovakia. He has arrived in the French city of Nice. He will participate in the G-7 summit being held in France and hold discussions with global leaders on various bilateral and global issues. Before departing, PM Modi stated that France holds a special place in India’s strategic vision, while his visit to Slovakia marks a historic milestone that will further strengthen the growing ties between the two nations.

PM Modi to Meet President Emmanuel Macron
During his visit to France, PM Modi will also meet President Emmanuel Macron. Significant discussions regarding defense cooperation are likely to take place between the two leaders. India is currently working to strengthen its military capabilities amidst rising strategic competition in maritime regions; consequently, special discussions are expected on further bolstering the defense partnership between the two countries.

Trump to Attend G-7 Summit
Amidst ongoing tensions with Iran, Donald Trump will attend the G-7 summit in France next week. There, he may discuss plans with his allies regarding the removal of mines from the Strait of Hormuz. Both G-7 members Britain and France have expressed a willingness to assist in clearing landmines from this vital waterway following a ceasefire. According to officials, Trump will also meet with leaders from Egypt, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates during the summit.

**Sharif claims agreement likely within 24 hours**
Meanwhile, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that an agreement aimed at ending the conflict is closer than ever and is expected to be finalized within 24 hours. Pakistan was preparing for the electronic signing of the agreement, to be immediately followed by technical-level talks next week. In a post on X, Sharif said, “We wish to express our gratitude to the United States and Iran for their continued commitment during the negotiations, and extend heartfelt thanks to our brothers in the region for their support.”
