Recently, a search operation was conducted in Tihar and Mandoli Jail, which are considered very secure in Delhi, in which mobile (Mobile) phones and knives buried in the ground have been recovered. During the search operation in Tihar Jail, officials found three smartphones and two keypad phones. Apart from Tihar Jail, a search operation was also conducted in Mandoli Jail of the national capital, from where mobiles and handmade cigarettes made to fill the breath were recovered.
According to the Tihar Jail Administration, on July 25, based on an intelligence input in the jail, a search was conducted in Central Jail No. 3 (Tihar). During the intensive search operation, mobile phones and other prohibited items were recovered after digging about 2 to 3 feet in the ground at many places on the basis of intelligence inputs. It includes three smart mobile phones, two keypad mobile phones, two data cables, one adapter, one knife and one awl.
Apart from this, on July 26, another search operation was conducted in Central Jail No. 11 (Mandoli), in which 3 Kachoda mobiles with 3 SIMs and other banned items like handmade cigarettes for Dum were recovered. The matter has been forwarded for further investigation and necessary action as per law.
The officer said that Assistant Superintendents Sujit, Avish Tomar, Rajesh Dahiya, Ravinder Yadav, Ram Niwas and the staff of Quick Reaction Team (QRT) of Central Jail No. 3 were also deployed on the spot during this period.
