An atmosphere of intense tension exists in Pakistan, (Pakistan ) India’s neighboring country. Reports from Pakistan indicate that the situation has become explosive. A new confrontation is being planned between Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, and the army headquarters in Rawalpindi. The primary reason for this is the rumor of the death of Imran Khan, founder of the Tehreek-e-Insaf party and former Prime Minister, which is spreading rapidly in Pakistan. Suspense surrounding Imran Khan has persisted in Pakistan for nearly a week. Imran Khan’s sister has been trying to visit him in jail for several days, but she has been denied permission.
Why is this controversy brewing?
Imran Khan, who is lodged in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, has not been visited by anyone for the past month. There is speculation that Imran Khan is either dead or in critical condition in jail. In this situation, Imran Khan’s party has announced a march to Rawalpindi. The Tehreek-e-Insaf party has issued a call for “Chalo Adiala.” Convoys of Imran Khan supporters from Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Haripur are marching towards Rawalpindi, chanting slogans. On Tuesday, Tehreek-e-Insaf workers and leaders from across Pakistan will gather outside Adiala Jail. They say they will remain outside Adiala Jail until Imran Khan is allowed to meet his family.

There is also an uproar in Pakistan’s Parliament regarding Imran Khan. The demand is to allow us to meet Imran Khan. On Monday, all PTI senators in the Pakistani Senate made this demand to Shahbaz Sharif’s government. Another PTI senator, Ali Muhammad Khan, even warned the Shahbaz government, saying that if anything were to happen to Imran Khan, the entire country would be in flames.
What did Imran Khan’s sister say?
Imran Khan’s party submitted a list of six lawyers to the Adiala Jail administration to meet him. PTI leaders have been trying to meet him in Adiala Jail for the past two to three weeks, but each time, the jail authorities turn them away and refuse to allow them inside. Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers also raised this issue in the National Assembly and Senate. However, the Shahbaz government dismissed the matter by stating that Imran is doing well in jail. Distressed by the lack of news of Imran, his sister, Aleema Khan, has said that whether the government uses bullets or batons, she will remain outside Adiala Jail until she is allowed to meet her brother.
Announcement to March to Rawalpindi
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has visited Imran Khan eight times. Last Friday, he even staged an all-night sit-in outside Adiala. He also visited the Islamabad High Court and met with the Chief Justice, but all his efforts failed. Therefore, Sohail Afridi has now announced a march to Islamabad and Rawalpindi with all his party MLAs, MPs, and ministers to exert pressure and meet with Imran Khan.
Attempt to remove Imran Khan from the path?
