New Delhi. The heat has once again started troubling (Light) the people in Delhi-NCR. The maximum temperature of National Capital Region, Delhi was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, which was 5 degrees more than the normal level. But the people of Delhi are hoping to get some respite from the heat on Wednesday. The Meteorological Department has predicted generally cloudy sky with light rain or drizzle on Wednesday. The maximum temperature is also expected to be 37 degrees and the minimum will be 27 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature on Tuesday was 26.4 degrees Celsius, which was recorded one degree more than the average temperature of this season. At the same time, it has been predicted to be generally cloudy from 7 to 11 September. The maximum temperature can be recorded at 37 degrees on 7th September and 36 degrees on 8th and 9th September. At the same time, it is expected to be up to 35 degrees Celsius with some drop on 10th and 11th September.
Meanwhile, the humidity level in the weather was recorded at 74 percent till 8:30 am on Tuesday, which was recorded at 57 percent at 5:30 pm. Due to light breeze in the weather, people got some respite from the sticky heat. Due to this the humidity level was not high.
Meanwhile, with increasing heat, the air quality level has also started deteriorating. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi at 8 pm on Monday was recorded at 233, which falls in the ‘poor’ category. AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 to Between 500 is considered ‘severe’.
According to CPCB, Delhi’s AQI level was recorded at 107 at 6 am on Wednesday, which was 125 on Tuesday. It is considered to be of medium category. During the last 24 hours, AQI of 121 was recorded at 4 pm yesterday. With increasing heat, the air is also getting worse due to which the level of pollution in the capital is increasing. However, the air remained somewhat cleaner on Tuesday as compared to Monday.
Delhi-NCR’s air is getting worse
Apart from Delhi, if we talk about the cities of NCR region, 95 AQI was recorded in Ghaziabad, 185 AQI in Gurugram, 81 AQI in Meerut, 123 AQI in Noida, 158 AQI in Greater Noida, which was of ‘moderate’ category. Whereas Faridabad’s AQI was a record 90. There was improvement in air quality on Tuesday as compared to Monday. However, the AQI of Delhi as well as Gurugram, Noida and Greater Noida still remains in the ‘medium’ category, which is harmful for health.
