Left wins again in JNU ( Left) 

Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union (JNUSU) election results 2025 are out. The Left     ( Left)    United has made a clean sweep in all four positions, including the President. Aditi Mishra (Left United) won the President position, K. Gopika (Left United) won the Vice President position, Sunil Yadav (Left United) won the General Secretary position, and Danish (Left United) won the Joint Secretary position.

Last year, the Left alliance won three of the top four positions in the 2024-25 Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) elections. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) made a comeback after ten years, winning the joint secretary position. Nitish Kumar (AISA) was elected president, Manisha (DSF) won the vice president position, and Munteha Fatima (DSF) secured the general secretary position. Meanwhile, the ABVP achieved a major breakthrough after a decade of drought, winning the Joint Secretary post with Vaibhav Meena, posing a strong challenge to the traditional Left alliance at JNU. However, this year, the Left United achieved a clean sweep.

Voting was held in two sessions
It should be noted that voting took place in two sessions on November 4th this year. Voting took place in two sessions, from 9 am to 1 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. This year, the total voter turnout was 67 percent.
