New Delhi. Senior Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy( Mukul Roy) is said to be missing. His son Shubhranshu Roy claimed that on Monday evening his father had to take an Indigo flight from Kolkata to Delhi. The flight reached Delhi at 9.55 pm. But nothing was known about his father. Shubhranshu, son of the former railway minister, told PTI that his father could not be traced since late Monday evening and was missing. TMC leader Shubhranshu said that till now I am unable to contact my father. He has gone missing.
The media report has quoted sources as saying that on Sunday, the matter of debate between father and son has also come to the fore. Mukul Roy has been surrounded by health problems since the death of his wife. He was admitted to the hospital in the month of February last. Shubhranshu also claimed that the family members have lodged a complaint with the airport police officials. On the other hand, police sources said that they have not received any such complaint.
Mukul Roy, who joined TMC from BJP about a year and a half ago, was constantly away from the public eye. In 2019, he is considered to have played a major role in the BJP getting 18 out of 40 Lok Sabha seats in Bengal. In the 2021 assembly elections, he was elected MLA from Krishnanagar North seat. But BJP lost the election. After this he again joined TMC.
The news of the disappearance of the TMC leader has created a stir in the political circles. It has been told in many media reports that Mukul Roy had met two veterans at Kolkata airport. He had reached Kolkata airport. No one knows where he went after that. There is no news of his discovery.
